Dr. Shane Reno – Dr. Shane has been in practice for 20 years. As a boy, he was raised around livestock and companion animals. At the age of 5, his job was feeding the steers and lambs his family raised for meat, and later he raised sheep for 4H. In high school and college, he worked summers on a cattle ranch in Idaho. When he was 19, he went on a mission for the LDS Church to Viña Del Mar, Chile. It was there that he learned to speak fluent Spanish, a skill that helps him communicate with people every single day.
Dr. Shane (as he is called by staff and clients, to prevent confusion, since his dad was also a Dr. Reno) has always loved animals, but since they were such a big part of his upbringing, it seemed like a natural part of him, rather than a hobby. He attended Ross University College of Veterinary Medicine for two and a half years, then transferred to Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he attended 3 years and graduated. Dr. Shane Reno has been in private practice with his father, Dr. Lynn Reno, for 20 years.
